Trackunit Announces Soeren Brogaard as New CEO

November 19, 2020, Aalborg, Denmark; Trackunit is delighted to announce the appointment of a new CEO, Soeren Brogaard. The appointment is effective from 1st December 2020.

A key member of Trackunit’s executive leadership and strategic direction, Soeren Brogaard joined the company in 2016. He takes over as CEO from Joergen Raguse, who at the same time is appointed Vice-chairman of the board at Trackunit. Under the management of Joergen Raguse Trackunit has developed from a European telematics provider to become the leading SaaS-based IoT solution and machine insights provider to the global construction equipment industry.

Making the announcement, Franck Cohen, Chairman of the Trackunit board said: “As a technology visionary, Soeren has played a major role in defining solutions and services which enable partners and customers to realize long-term value by working with Trackunit. Soeren’s strong belief in value-and purpose-driven leadership will continue to be a great asset as we drive the company to greater success. I’d like to underline our thanks to Joergen Raguse for his vision and direction; I’m pleased to have his continued support for Soeren during this new period of expansion and growth.”

Soeren Brogaard said: “Trackunit has built a great position of trust and confidence by working collaboratively with some of the great manufacturer brands, rental companies and contractors over the last five years. Today we provide world-leading SaaS-based IoT solutions to construction, delivering data and insights for more informed decision making to make the sector more efficient and productive. Our objective is to continue to help construction become more digitally aware and transformed as we journey together to eliminate downtime.”

Joergen Raguse said: “Over the last three years, we have significantly strengthened the executive team with senior personnel from global SaaS and growth companies. This team is ready to deliver the strong growth outlined in the strategy plan towards 2025. Personally, I feel now is an appropriate time for me to pass the torch to Soeren Brogaard to spearhead this next phase. Having already served Trackunit as CTO and CCO, Soeren has been a pivotal contributor to its transformation and growth and it’s my objective to ensure a smooth succession to his leadership.”

About Soeren Brogaard, new CEO at Trackunit

Soeren Brogaard joined Trackunit after leaving global industrial leader, Schneider Electric in 2016. Initially recruited as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), he headed research and product development, including hardware and software engineering, strategic marketing and customer care.

Whilst running the strategic product direction of Trackunit, Soeren kept ahead of technical inflection points having significant implications for the company and the market it serves. He worked together with the sales organization to attract, develop and retain key accounts by better understanding customer challenges as well as digital solutions and services which offered the potential to transform the fortunes of construction.

In February 2018, Soeren took up the position of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), implementing data-driven global customer success strategies which have delivered continued revenue growth throughout the industry from small rental companies to large OEMs and construction contractors.

Soeren Brogaard is passionate about the digital transformation of the construction sector. As a regular conference speaker, he articulates Trackunit’s vision for technology to deliver safer worksites as well as more efficient, productive and profitable operations throughout construction’s supply chain. His dedication to unite construction to eliminate downtime makes him stand out as a charismatic leader delivering exceptional results.
