Co-creating a blueprint for data-sharing in construction
The big dilemma with data is that data itself has no value unless it is processed and turned into actionable insight. To create value we need transparency and access to data. But with more transparency comes the risk of data falling into the wrong hands. In the construction sector this anxiety of leaking sensitive data leads to data being locked up in siloes and its value is being lost.
But what if everyone in construction can benefit from sharing data?
This is the central question that we will find innovative answers to in the next chapter of eliminate downtime. The goal is to co-create a blueprint that can be applied in the industry to inspire new partnerships across the value chain that contribute to eliminate downtime in construction via data-sharing.
Collaborating across the value-chain
The Eliminate Downtime Committee and an extended network are coming together again in a series of round tables and regional hackathons. During these events we will map out pain points, identify shareable data points, and create specific use cases together. The results from the hackathons will be synthesized and published as a blue print to the broader public.
